This policy explains how Help Is Here Injury Lawyers, PLLC ("we," "us," "the firm") handles information collected through www.helpishere.law. It covers this website only. Information you provide after we agree to represent you is governed by the rules of professional conduct and the attorney-client relationship, which are stricter than this policy.

What we collect

We collect information only when you choose to send it. Our two forms ask for:

• Case review form: your first and last name, phone number, email address, type of case, when the incident happened, and a description of what happened.
• Referral form: your name, firm (if any), email address, phone number, case type, state or jurisdiction, preferred arrangement, and a case summary.

You may also contact us by phone or email, in which case we receive whatever you choose to share.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which typically include IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. These are used for security and to keep the site running.

What we do not do

This is worth stating plainly, because it is unusual:

• We do not use tracking cookies. This site sets no cookies of its own.
• We do not run analytics software, advertising pixels, or session-recording tools.
• We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone, for any purpose.
• We do not use your information to build advertising profiles.

How we use your information

We use what you send us to:

• Evaluate whether we can help with your case
• Contact you about your inquiry, by phone, text, or email
• Provide legal services if you become a client
• Meet our professional, legal, and recordkeeping obligations

If you give us a phone number, you are agreeing that we may call or text you about your inquiry. You can ask us to stop at any time and we will.

Text messages (SMS)

If you give us your phone number, you may receive text messages from us about your inquiry or your case: scheduling a call, confirming an appointment, requesting a document, or updating you on your matter. We do not send marketing text messages to people who have not asked to hear from us.

Your mobile number is used only by our firm and by the service providers described above who help us deliver those messages on our behalf. Those providers may not use your number for their own purposes.

• Message frequency varies depending on your inquiry or the stage of your case.
• Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
• Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving text messages. Reply HELP for assistance.
• Opting out of text messages does not affect your case, and we can still reach you by phone or email.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with service providers that help us operate, and only as needed:

• Clio Grow — our client intake and case management system. Form submissions are transmitted to and stored in Clio. See Clio's privacy policy.
• Vercel — our website hosting provider, which maintains server logs.
• Google — this site loads fonts from Google Fonts, and our contact page embeds a Google map of our office. Loading these means Google receives your IP address. See Google's privacy policy.

We may also disclose information where required by law, court order, or the rules of professional conduct, or where necessary to protect our rights or someone's safety.

Confidentiality and the attorney-client relationship

We treat inquiries with discretion regardless. But the formal protections of privilege attach when a representation begins, not when a form is submitted — and we would rather you know that up front.

How long we keep information

We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to evaluate and respond to it, and afterward as required by our professional and legal recordkeeping obligations. Client files are retained according to the applicable rules governing attorney records in Texas. You may ask us to delete an inquiry that did not become a case, and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.

Security

Form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and our intake system is access-controlled. That said, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you have information you consider highly sensitive, calling us at 713-280-3204 is a reasonable alternative to a web form.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, request correction or deletion, and ask us not to sell or share it — though as noted above, we do not sell or share information for advertising in the first place.

Texas residents: the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act may give you rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of your personal data, and to appeal a denied request.

California residents: the California Consumer Privacy Act may give you rights to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and not be discriminated against for exercising those rights.

To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it. Requests are free unless they are excessive or repetitive.

Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it. Where we represent an injured minor, that information is handled through the client relationship, not through this site.

Links to other sites

This site links to outside resources — for example, TxDOT's crash report portal and other government or reference sites. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Their policies govern once you leave here.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here rather than announced individually.
